OtterBox Global Product Warranty

This warranty statement was last updated July 14, 2025.

Effective Date: This limited warranty applies to any Product SKUs released on or after June 1, 2025.
This limited warranty is applicable to all purchases of OtterBox brand products on or after the effective date set forth above.

Otter Products, LLC d/b/a OtterBox and its affiliated companies worldwide (collectively, “OtterBox”, “we,” “us,” or “our”) warrant to the original person who purchased the product (“you” or “your”) that OtterBox products (collectively, the “Products”) will be free from defects in manufacturing, material, or workmanship under normal use for their applicable Warranty Period (as defined below), subject to conditions contained in this limited warranty. This limited warranty only applies to Products you purchase directly from an OtterBox website, an OtterBox store, or from an OtterBox authorized dealer, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Our limited warranty can also be found online at https://www.otterbox.com.au/en-au/warranty-full.html and in the documentation we provide with the Product.
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. For consumers who are covered by consumer protection laws or regulations in the state, province, or country of purchase or, if different, their state, province, or country of residence, the benefits conferred by this limited warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies conveyed by such consumer protection laws and regulations. This limited warranty does not exclude or otherwise limit any rights or remedies of the consumer conveyed by such consumer protection laws and regulations.

WARRANTY PERIOD

The following warranty periods apply to the Products (each, a “Warranty Period”):

OtterBox Protective Cases	Three years from the later of the original date of purchase or the date of delivery
OtterBox Mobile Accessories	Two years from the later of the original date of purchase or the date of delivery
OtterBox Private Collection and Limited Edition / Specialty Products	One year from the later of the original date of purchase or the date of delivery (or such longer period as may be determined by law in the country of purchase)

TERMS

If a manufacturing, material, or workmanship defect occurs, and a valid claim is received by OtterBox no later than sixty (60) calendar days after the expiration of the applicable Warranty Period, we will, at our discretion: (1) repair the Product using new or refurbished parts; (2) replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product that is the same or similar style to the Product, or a substitute equivalent Product that may not be of like kind (depending on availability); or (3) provide a credit redeemable on the OtterBox website in an amount equal to the original purchase price of the defective Product, subject to verification of a copy of your dated receipt. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT EXCLUDE OR OTHERWISE LIMIT ANY RIGHTS OR REMEDIES OF THE CONSUMER CONVEYED BY SUCH CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS AND REGULATIONS. Replacement with the same color or replacement of customization performed by OtterBox cannot be guaranteed. The Warranty Period is not extended if we repair or replace the Product. We may change the availability of this limited warranty at any time and at our discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.
This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to transportation, storage, improper use, failure to follow the product instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance, third-party modifications or repair, normal wear and tear or aging of the Product and breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use, or external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control. WE ARE NOT LIABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR ANY DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO ELECTRONIC DEVICES OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY THAT IS CONTAINED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OUR PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LAPTOPS, MOBILE DEVICES, OR OTHER HANDHELD DEVICES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA CONTAINED IN THE FOREGOING DEVICES.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OTTERBOX SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. If such disclaimer of any implied warranty is not permitted by law, the duration of any such implied warranty is limited to the applicable Warranty Periods set forth in this limited warranty. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. OUR LIABILITY WILL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR WILL WE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

To submit a warranty claim, visit https://www.otterbox.com.au/en-au/warranty-begin or call 1-855-688-7269. You must make all warranty claims no later than sixty (60) calendar days after the expiration of the applicable Warranty Period. We may ask you to provide a copy of your dated receipt for the Product and to send us a photograph of your Product to validate the claim. In some situations, we may ask that you return the product to OtterBox for inspection. OtterBox reserves the right to charge a shipping and handling fee in connection with the evaluation and fulfillment of any warranty claim.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT, UNDER ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, WILL OTTER, ITS DISTRIBUTORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCT, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF VALUE OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT ARE USED IN OR WITH THE PRODUCT, OR LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT ARE USED IN OR WITH THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF OTTER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, CUSTOMER UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT OTTER HAS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO CUSTOMER ELECTRONICS DEVICES OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY THAT ARE CONTAINED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LAPTOPS, SMARTPHONES, CELLULAR PHONES, OR OTHER HANDHELD DEVICES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA CONTAINED IN THE FOREGOING DEVICES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY DAMAGES THAT CUSTOMER MIGHT INCUR FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL DAMAGES REFERENCED HEREIN AND ALL DIRECT OR GENERAL DAMAGES IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE), THE ENTIRE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF OTTER AND ANY OF ITS DISTRIBUTORS AND/OR SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY CUSTOMER FOR ANY PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. SOME STATES, PROVINCES, COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO CUSTOMER. THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH ABOVE WILL APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

AUSTRALIA LIMITED WARRANTY SCHEDULE

Where Otter Products, LLC d/b/a OtterBox and its affiliated companies worldwide including, but not limited to, Otter Products Australia Pty Ltd (collectively, “Otter), supply Products and services within Australia, the following additional terms will apply and prevail over any other terms in this limited warranty.

WARRANTY IN ADDITION TO OTHER RIGHTS

The benefits given to you by the limited warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under Australian laws and regulations in relation to the Products to which this warranty relates.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Product repaired or replaced if the Product fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

ADDITIONAL WARRANTY CLAIMS PROCEDURE

If you purchased your Product from a retail store, you must return the Product to that retail store or to an address provided by that retail store. If you purchased your Product from https://www.otterbox.com.au, you must submit your claim to https://www.otterbox.com.au/warranty-claim

COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH A WARRANTY CLAIM

Where you make a warranty claim, you must bear the costs of making the claim including the cost to return the Product to the nominated return address. We will bear the costs associated with sending or returning repaired or replaced Product to you.
